Big news out of San Diego; Linda Hamilton has been cast as Chuck and Ellie’s mom for the 4th Season of NBC’s Chuck.
I can’t say that Hamilton was my first choice to be Momma Bartowski, but I’m curious to see what she has to bring to the show.
Also, it looks like S4 is going to chock-full of special guest stars like Olivia Munn and the Old Spice Guy.
Now, I love Chuck, but I wonder why it doesn’t get heat for stunt casting like Glee does. Last season alone Chuck had Scott Bakula, Brandon Routh, Kristin Kreuk, Steve Austin, Angie Harmon, Armand Asante, Robert Patrick (another Terminator alum), Swoosie Kurtz and Fred Willard just to name a few. I think those guest spots out-weight those on Glee.
To be honest, I wasn’t too jazzed about the 4th season arc about finding Chuck’s mom (I'm probably in the minority), and Sarah Connor’s addition doesn’t add any excitement, but I trust Schwartz & Fedak to give us an entertaining season none the less.
