News: More Out of the NBC Camp

Pre-Upfronts craziness continued as NBC picked up more new shows while renewing some old favorites.

According to Deadline, Parenthood has been renewed, and both Community and 30 Rock will be coming back with shortened orders which will probably spark some interesting theories. It's been documented that 30 Rock would have only 13-14 episodes as a way for the show to put together an appropriate series finale. As for Community, it could be renewed for an additional 9 episodes based on how the newbies perform, but my guess is Dan Harmon and Company should start prepping for the end.

Speaking of newbies, NBC sent Do No Harm and Infamous (formally known as Notorious) to series. The former is supposed to be a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type medical drama while the latter's trying to build off Revenge's success.

As always, check back later for my more in depth takes once the schedules are finalized. Until then, don't forget the Armchair Programmer Series.
